August is end,
but it
will come back again 1 year later with another story about how Indonesian
people celebrating independence day on 17th of this month.
Here, i want to share
how my students of MTs Al-Hasanah
celebrating our independence day by joining carnaval competition that
held by the committee of Jambore Camp KWARRAN Sajira in Sajira District Lebak
Banten Indonesia.
On this occasion, we
chose nationalism theme. so, the costume we prepared were based on the theme. 4
male students were wearing the costume of dutch
colonizer, they brought gun, wore sunglasses and acted cruelly to the students who acted as
Indonesian people. While 3 males of them
were acting as the indonesian people who were colonized by Dutch. they wore
oblong t-shirt that full of blood, and walked barefoot.
Behind them, there were
female students who acted as the indonesian people too, they wore old Kebaya
and long cloth that called samping or sinjang.
Behind the female
participants, they were 4 male students who acted as the indonesian battlers,
they wore martial arts costume and red-white headband, they brought Pioneering
in the form of Airplane that ride by the Soekarno Pretender, a little male
students who wore and acted as the first President of Indonesia, Soekarno.
We Chose this theme
because we wanted to tell the pupil that we must keep our freedom and fill in
it by the best achievement we can do for Indonesia. because the freedom we live
now is the valuable treasure that cost by the heroes blood and lives.
Finally, our school won
the first champion on this carnaval competition. Although, we did not get a cup
for this achievement but only a Wimpel, I was so happy and proud of my
students. I thought, truly, they have gotten more than a cup on this Jambore
Camp especially on this carnaval competition, that's an experience of how to be
an indonesian people before Independence day 17 August 1945.
That's all my story how
my students celebrated 69th Independence day of Indonesia, how was yours?
